Peter Butler had been Senior Partner at Bramleys for nearly 40 years and a good friend to all that knew him. He sadly passed away 2 years ago from a massive heart attack and is hugely missed by everyone both here at Bramleys and the wider business community.
July 8th would have been Peter’s birthday and in celebration of this, a team of 12 runners will undertake the Leeds 10k the day before, Sunday July 7th.
So, it’s back on with the running shoes, the team are training hard and fundraising to show a bit of love back to those who have supported our staff, family and friends when we really needed it.
Our four chosen charities are:
Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice, a pioneering children’s hospice with a real live princess for a patron! They support families confronted with the news that their child has a life-shortening condition, from pregnancy onwards. Harnessing the magic powers of extraordinary people to do extraordinary things for children and their families.
Kirkwood Hospice, provide outstanding care for those with life-limiting conditions, their families and loved ones. Whether at home or in the community, they ensure those with incurable conditions live the best quality of life they can and help them to make the most of the time they have left.
Overgate Hospice, at the heart of the Calderdale community they provide palliative care, comfort and support to patients and their families. Helping those with life-limiting illnesses to live life to the full, to the very end.
British Heart Foundation, working to beat heartbreak forever, the BHF funds research into heart and circulatory diseases. With nationwide campaigns to influence change, the BHF supports the opt-out system for organ donation in a bid to save more lives.
We’d love it if you come and cheer us along the route, which passes some beautiful historic buildings, and if you can help us raise as much money as possible that would be amazing.
