After the brilliant fundraising efforts of our team of runners taking part in the Leeds 10k for Forget me not Child you could say we had been more then a little bitten by the fundraising bug in the offices. We decided to host a Yorkshire day tea party to raise more funds settling on a date away from the actual day itself so we weren't in competition with all the other events being held to maximise what we could raise.
A big Bramleys baking session was organised to ensure we had a mouth watering selection of cakes, and we approached local and national businesses for raffle prizes. We sold balloons for £5 each with every one containing a prize from sweets to meals out, toiletries to clothing vouchers and everything in between.
The staff welcomed in the public, chatted, made tea and sold cakes and balloons on Wednesday 12th August.
We are very proud to announce we raised over £800 for the hospice on that day which when added to the Leeds 10k total brings the amount we have donated to Forget me Not to just over £4000!
Now the fundraising is definitely catching as Eleanor is now in training to do the Man vs Mountain challenge on the 5th September running 20 miles up and down Snowdon to help raise funds for her best friends son Rio who has celebral palsy, you can read more about it here on their go fund me page
