Since the Government announcement that the property sector can resume work, we have been working hard to ensure we can return to trading while keeping our staff and our customers safe.
In accordance with the government, we have implemented a series of measures for all parties to adhere to, in order to minimise risk when attending viewings. Rules apply for both our commercial and residential properties.
If you are attending a property viewing, please note the following:
Viewings will be pre-arranged appointments only and are undertaken at your own risk
You should not attend a viewing if you, or any member of your household, is self-isolating or shielding on medical grounds or displaying any symptoms
You should travel to the property separately or with members of your immediate household only, and social distancing measures should be upheld to, from and throughout the appointment
The agent will confirm whether the viewing is to be conducted by the homeowner/resident or a member of their staff
The use of face masks and gloves is to be encouraged to reduce contact, but you should ensure that you follow the necessary guidance for the use of personal protective equipment safely
During the viewing:
When entering the property, all parties should wash their hands or use hand sanitiser prior to entering the property
Avoid touching surfaces throughout the appointment
We ask that you restrict the number of people who accompany you on a viewing so that social distancing can be practised, and only those in your immediate household should be there
Please be prepared to wait outside the property if the accompanied viewer or householder requests you to do while preparations are made for your inspection
Homeowners will be encouraged to vacate for the duration of your viewing but if this is not possible/practical there may be areas or rooms to which access is limited in order to maintain social distancing
In order to maintain social distancing, contact between all parties will be minimal, so it may not be possible for the homeowner or accompanied viewer to answer questions
Our staff have also been supplied with protective equipment including masks, gloves and hand sanitiser.
These processes are in place for the safety of everyone so must be followed, and will remain in place until further government announcements or lockdown is relaxed further.
If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to speak to our team, who will be happy to assist you.
