Why should you choose Bramleys to let your property?

Our lettings department is one of the largest portfolios in the region, accounting for 3.5% of the local market.

Employing 10 full-time and part-time staff, we manage 650 properties and have dozens of landlords on our books.

Mortgage means “Debt until death” and we believe there are still many benefits to renting a home. We are extremely passionate about our department, which is headed up by Michelle McCarthy, who has worked within our business for 18 years.

Working with Michelle is a mixed team of junior and senior employees. Some of the senior members of the team have worked for Bramleys for 30+ years, whilst the newest member of the team, Freya, has worked for us for 9 months.

We are ARLA registered and we operate the RICS Client Money Protection scheme, meaning that tenants’ deposits are secured, and they are not used for cashflow – providing peace of mind.

We provide a whole service to clients – we even offer to help one-off landlords with their tax returns and self-assessments, meaning clients don’t have to worry.

We find every day presents a new opportunity to delight clients by the challenges they present to us. Whether it’s someone who has got their keys stuck in the lock or a boiler that has packed in, it is a race against the clock for us to get someone to the property to fix the problem – we thrive on this, and it’s reflected in our reviews.

On AllAgents, we have a 100% satisfaction rate for lettings valuations and 99% satisfaction for fees.

We have dedicated property managers, so that when someone calls up, they know who to ask for, strengthening their relationship with our business. Every single phone call or interaction is then logged in our internal system, Alto, meaning that if their dedicated property manager is out, we can pick off where they left off.

We offer a tenant find only service, a tenant find and rent collection service and a full management service. These three options provide landlords with a package to suit their needs. For example, some landlords may live close-by and have the time to manage their tenants’ requests, or some may have a brother-in-law who is a heating engineer, so they don’t need us to arrange boiler checks. This level of flexibility is appreciated by our clients.

Our reviews

In July 2022, Leona said:

"I recently rented through Bramleys and they were great. Any issues with the property were sorted promptly and the whole process of starting and ending the tenancy was really simple. Michelle was always really easy to get hold of and responded promptly to any queries."

"Bramleys has managed and let our rental properties since we bought them 9 years ago. They were originally recommended to us by a competing Huddersfield letting agent who had recently retired. They have always provided a terrific service, handled tenant issues quickly and effectively, and provided peace of mind. They have provided an equally prompt and reliable service to our tenants. We have an excellent Property Manager assigned to us, Helen Lloyd, who is always on hand to provide advice. We value the efficient billing, statement and payment process, with which we have never had issue, and the tradesmen they have appointed on our behalf have always done a good job. The recent change of tenants in one of the properties was seamless. Bramleys' marketing of the property resulted in a large number of potential tenants being shown the property, and in turn rendered us with a good set of applicants. We would highly recommend Bramleys."
